About the Role
Anchor Capital (Mauritius) Limited is seeking a candidate with accounting qualifications and experience. Some knowledge of funds administration or fund accounting would be a major plus. The role would be to assist with the operational, regulatory, and reporting functions of Mauritius‑administered investment structures. This job function supports the firm’s growing platform serving globally diversified investment funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and ongoing operations of investment fund structures, including Stock Portfolios, CIS funds, and Hedge funds in line with FSC regulatory requirements.
- Assist in NAV preparation, fund accounting, and review of financial statements in line with IFRS and the fund’s offering documents.
- Liaise with Auditors, Administrators, Tax Advisors, Bankers, and the Financial Services Commission (FSC) regarding statutory filings, audits, and regulatory deliverables under the Companies Act 2001, Securities Act 2005, and CIS Regulations 2008.
- Prepare and maintain capital calls, drawdown notices, distributions, investor registers, and drawdown trackers.
- Assist in regulatory reporting, AML/CFT compliance, and periodic risk reviews.
- Maintain high‑quality documentation, records, and controls aligned with local fund administration standards, including the use of specialist fund software.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in fund accounting, audit, or fund administration; progress toward ACCA/ACA is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of fund structures and accounting principles, with ability to work on NAVs, financial statements, and investor reporting.
- Familiarity with the Mauritius financial services regulatory framework (FSC rules, Companies Act 2001, Securities Act 2005, CIS Regulations 2008).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a regulated, deadline‑driven environment.
